Wall of Silence 2nd edition — winner of the 2007 Lambda Literary Award for Women’s Mystery.

All of the categories were populated with great books so being named a finalist was a win in and of itself. I was truly honored to be included with such talented authors as Ursula Steck, Ellen Hart, Geri Hill, and Jennifer L. Jordan.

I felt my chances of winning were slim to none(my publisher and friends felt otherwise) so I spent my time, seeking out photo opportunities with Radclyffe, Gun Brook, KG MacGregor, Nicola Griffith, Fiona Zedde, and Christopher Rice. I can't emphasize enough how shocked I was to hear my name called. I'm home now, but my head is still in the clouds.

To all of you who have written congratulations, thank you so much for sharing this with me.As promised, I uploaded a few pictures and I'm working on tagging them now. Thanks to my good friend CC for donating half of them and to Paula for having the wherewithal to grab my camera as I walked up on stage.
