I spent most of Saturday procrastinating and surfing the net. I wrote about 1200 words on a new piece. Although, I’m happy to be able to report that I wrote something, it wasn’t a project I have a deadline for, and was probably just more procrastination.
Sunday was a lot more productive. I woke up at the crack of ass--thanks to the time change--and could not get back to sleep. So I spent the first half of the morning doing more web surfing. I’m not going to get down on myself (how great would that be?) because I was able to complete another chapter and slap another 1900 words on my meter for this weekends. I’m only counting the words in a scene after I actually use them in a chapter so I’m sure I’m probably closer to 68000. My goal is to have the draft completed by Sunday the fifth.

was trying to post on your blog this weekend but had technical issues.
i feel bad for you authors about having to count words. how mind numbing?!? regarding having to cut, that's just hard man. try this one, first time in the studio we had to cut two minutes of a song on the spot. not fun at all. we managed to do it though. we had about half hour to figure out what to cut and be able to record it live also on the spot. cutting is never fun.
by the way, when you come out my way, make sure you leave that beanie bag at home. i'm glueing him to my side so you don't steal my little buddy. he's so handsome in his tux.
Cutting does suck, but I can be incredibly verbose so it's not always a bad thing. At least that's what I'm telling myself today. I do have a few things that I do in the editing stage that help with the trimming but it's always heartbreaking. When do I get to hear this song?! Is it on Garage Band? Post up a link.
our site should be up by the winter, hopefully. i'm just working out some new tunes now. we've rotated in and out of having full bands and may have one again in the next three months. we will see. i'll get you one of those tunes off line. can't wait to read your book too.
